Fri., May 16               Class Elections and Spring Sports Assembly

STUDENTS:

This past weekend at the first annual Imagine Tomorrow competition sponsored by WSU, the team of Shruthi Baskaran, Sam Henager, Ittai Orr, and Catherine Schweppe won third place for their entry titled the Evergreen Transportation Initiative. The prize earned the team $1500 to split and $1500 for the school. This competition asks students to come up with innovative ideas to help improve the quality of our natural environment that we take for granted every day.  If you see these people around campus please congratulate them for their hard work and accomplishments.

Congratulations to Emilee Trost and Emily Valerio for making it to regional’s in 3A girl’s golf.  They will be competing for a spot at state Monday, May 12th, at Canyon Lakes.

Seniors:  Remember to stop by the counseling office and request your final transcript.  Colleges will need them to enroll and the counseling office is NOT open during the summer.  Make sure to do it NOW before you graduate.

Seniors!  We are putting together a slideshow for the Senior Awards Night.  We need a picture of every senior!  Individual or group shots will be great.  There will be a box for  pictures at the front desk.

Hey Seniors!  There will be a baby picture contest (who’s who, cutest, etc.) at the All Night Party.  There will be prizes for everyone who submits their picture.  Leave your picture in the box in the activities office.  Please put your name and phone number on the back so the photo can be returned.  (8 x 10 or smaller, please).  Questions?  Call Pam Henager, 734-1166.

The Computer Competency Assessment is being offered at Kennewick High School, room 117 on the following date:  Wednesday, May 28 at 2:30 pm.  Registration forms are available in the counselors’ office and on the KSD website. These are the final opportunities for 2008 seniors, who have not yet taken and passed the computer competency assessment or Computer Applications 1-2, to meet this graduation requirement.

Girl’s soccer team information night will be May 14, Wednesday, at 6:45pm in the KeHS library.  All current and interested players, including incoming freshman, are encouraged to attend this information night to discuss the 2008 fall soccer season and activities for summer 2008.

The KGH Annual Sports Physical Fair is Saturday, May 17 from 8-11 am. Cost is only $5. Please have your physical form completed and signed by a parent before your exam.

Senior Graduation Party tickets are on sale in the library.  Tickets are $20 each.  The first 100 seniors who buy a ticket qualify to participate in a special “CASH” drawing the night of the party.

Summer School registration forms are now in the Counseling Office.
